The MAPS Basic Skills Mathematics Program was developed by mathematics teachers, who saw the need for a new way to approach the teaching of mathematics. The result was the MAPS Basic Skills Mathematics Program. The authors have been involved in the daily task of teaching mathematics for many years. The worktexts reflect the care and planning that has gone into the many years of mathematics teaching in the classroom.

The MAPS Basic Skills Mathematics Program was originally written for use with their own students. Today the worktexts are used successfully throughout the U.S. in Adult and Youth Correctional Programs, ABE, GED and H.S. Equivalency Programs, Remedial College Programs, Adult Education Centers, Business Institutes, Vocational/Technical Schools, Elementary/Middle/Secondary Schools and where ever there is a need to help students achieve mastery of mathematics skills and concepts. We believe they are quality teaching tools at a very reasonable price.
